I'm a wuss. I'm dorky. I'm probably boring by most people's standards.
And I'm apologizing for never writing in this journal upfront.
The basics, I guess:
I graduated from the University of Florida in the fall semester of 2005. I received my degree in both English and Classical Studies.
Recently I earned a position at Pedro Menendez High School teaching 9th and 10th grade standard English. My baby project, however, will be my "repeaters" class. Along the lines of a drop-out prevention class, my "repeaters" class consists of students who failed English I, so they have to take English I and English II in the same year to put them on track for English III next year. It'll be a big challenge for me, but it's exactly what I wanted.
I love music. Jazz. Rock. Blues. All of it just puts me in the best place. I used to sing jazz for awhile-- awhile being the emphasized word. Ah, regrets.
I have an amazing family. My sister, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) fsucola, is practically the closest friend I have. My parents are supportive and funny as hell.
I am madly in love with my boyfriend of five years, Aaron Jay (aapoh_gxei). Yes, we're talking about marriage.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, my bed is my sanctuary. Sleep is disgustingly important to my well-being.
